AMERICA IS BACK.

President Donald J. Trump gave a masterful State of the Union (SOTU) address last night. He told the American people where he started when he began his second term and reminded the American people of the immigration, crime, and high cost of living problems he inherited from the previous administration. He highlighted what he has done during his second term to right the ship and then told Americans where he is going in the remainder of his time in office. President Trump made suggestions to Congress on some laws he believes they should pass to codify executive orders he has signed. I was impressed with Trump’s use of visuals – American citizens who are a living testimony to the problems we face and how these problems can be overcome. When discussing Delilah’s Law, a law aimed at barring states from issuing commercial driving licenses to illegal immigrants, Trump had in the audience Delilah Coleman who is a first grader who was severely injured in a motor vehicle accident involving an illegal alien semi-truck driver. Trump also suggested Congress pass the Stop Insider Trading Act and specifically called out Representative Nancy Pelosi. Trump showed the American people that America truly is exceptional by having the 2026 gold medalist U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team in attendance. To dispel the Leftist myth of misogyny afoot, Trump explained that he will be meeting with the gold medalist U.S. women’s hockey team at the White House. The women could not be at the SOTU address because of previous scheduled commitments. Exceptional members of our military were in attendance and several received awards. The defining moment of Trump’s address was when he stated, “Tonight, I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.” Members of the Democratic Party remained seated. Hmm, not exactly the people I want to pay with my hard-earned dough to protect my interests.

The Democrats acted as expected. U.S. Representative Al Green was removed early. Iryna Zarutska’s, Ukrainian refugee who was slaughtered on a train in North Carolina, mother was in attendance and although Democrats have no problem wearing pins in support of Ukraine, few stood and acknowledged her presence. Trump did mistakenly refer to Iryna’s killer as an illegal alien. Iryna’s killer is a homegrown U.S. criminal who is an example of the failure of “soft on crime” policies. While I was waiting for Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger’s rebuttal, I checked to see if my favorite Leftist sites had pounced on the “lie” and as sure as the sun rises in the East…. Representatives Omar and Tlaib sat together and heckled POTUS. I found it rich that Trump called out the Somali financial fraud and named V.P. Vance as the Fraud Czar. I wish Rep. Randy Fine, who brought his father and his father’s Seeing Eye dog Sadie to the event, had been sitting next to the dynamic heckler duo. Democrats who did not attend the SOTU address held a “People’s State of the Union” rally. Joy Reid brought Kilmar Abrego Garcia as her special guest. Governor Spanberger’s rebuttal was thin gruel – Orange man bad. Democrats have nothing substantive to offer.

I have a few things I want to write about today.

1. Gender Dysphoria. Earlier this month, nine people were shot to death, 27 individuals were injured, and the killer then shot himself to death in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. Initially, Canadian authorities referred to the murderer as a “gun person.” American legacy media used she/her pronouns. The killer was a mentally ill man pretending to be a woman. Enabling and encouraging psychological pathology is not kindness nor is it morally defensible. A few days ago, another man pretending to be a woman, walked into an ice rink where his son’s hockey team was engaged in a tournament and shot and killed his ex-wife, his son (not son on the ice), and himself. The shooter critically injured three others including his ex-in-laws and a family friend. This disgruntled bird dropping had an on-line presence that revealed he was pissed at the world, particularly his family, for not accepting his mental delusion. I cannot fathom the despair and abandonment that his ex-wife and children must have felt when this self-absorbed idiot made his “new gender” announcement. The divorce filing followed the man’s gender transition. This man was aided and abetted in his pathology by our broken and sinful society.

2. School Board Karen. Recently in Maryland, a Leftist loon (Nurse Karen) stepped up to the microphone at a school board meeting sharing her concerns regarding a recent TPUSA event at one of the district’s schools. Nurse Karen’s (NK) major gripe appeared to be, “The materials indicated that parents or guardians were not permitted to attend. Excluding parents or guardians from a student-focused event lacks transparency, and school affiliated joint activities should have supervision standards, background check requirements, and accountability structures.”  NK went on to complain, “I’m also concerned about a potential conflict of interest involving board of education members serving as guest speakers at this event.” Of note, school board members were invited to the TPUSA event to speak about what “school board members do and what their policies are.” Right before NK spoke at the board meeting, the Student President of TPUSA affiliate Calvert County Club America also addressed the board telling members, “All students that were there were in attendance with parental permission, and all publicly advertised. However, we received much hate, and we posted online that we would not be allowing any adults that are not volunteers nor parents.” Although NK was informed at the meeting before she spoke that volunteers and parents were allowed to attend the meeting, she stood her self-righteous ass up and denied the truth. She went on to signal her virtue by informing the board that as a mandatory reporter of child abuse, she had filed a report of abuse concerning the TPUSA event to Child Protective Services. Congratulations, virtue diva.

3. Illegal Leprechaun Immigrant. The Main Stream Media has recently engaged in some blarney regarding Seamus Culleton (SC) by elevating him to Patron Saint of Illegal Immigrants. SC was arrested by ICE 5 months ago and has remained detained in Texas. SC was issued a final order of deportation on 9/10/2025. SC has been offered a free ride home to Ireland, but he has decided to remain in U.S. custody. SC is wanted by Irish Authorities for crimes committed back home. SC has managed to call a radio station in Ireland while in ICE detention to complain that his situation is like being in a concentration camp. I guess SC’s box of Lucky Charms was not magically delicious.

2. I was happy to see that the Trump Administration has decided to “disappear” the stop/start automobile feature. Every time I start my SUV in the garage, my right hand reflexively reaches to the dashboard and disarms the annoying option. I disable the auto stop/start because I am looking to extend the longevity of my battery and starter since I keep my cars until they die. I prefer a smoother ride in the pimped out mobile I purchased a few months ago and my ass was chapped every time I was stopped at a light on Polaris Parkway, which is often, and the car stopped and then restarted. I have a heated and cooling option on my seat. I do not have a massage my chapped ass option. Several years ago, the wife and I purchased a new washer and dryer. The appliances suck. Instead of KNOBS, the washer and dryer have the new fangled touch screen buttons. The washing machine is a water saving device. My wife waits for the washer to complete the fill cycle and then she pops the lid and adds several buckets of water from the sink next to the washer. Once we got the water saving washer, I noticed my tighty- whities never have the skid marks completely removed. I now wear black tighty-whities. Six years ago, the little lady and I had to replace a refrigerator that rendered 23 years of unblemished service. We were flabbergasted in the show room – what the fk is a smart appliance? We just wanted a fridge that keeps the refrigerator cold and the freezer frozen and would last a long time without needing a service call. Why would we need a camera in the refrigerator – to watch the mold grow in the vegetable drawer? The wife and I are simpletons. We have a 5”x8” pad of paper in the middle of the kitchen table with a pen. If we run out of something, we add it to the Saturday morning shopping list. If we pull the jar of pimentos out of the door shelf to use, we add pimentos to the shopping list if we use the whole jar or do not leave enough to complete the next meal requiring pimentos. Do the smart cameras actually let you see every little jar you have stuffed on a shelf or in the door storage area of your refrigerator? “Keep it simple, stupid” is sage advice my father bestowed on me 50+ years ago. I desire to own cars and appliances that are simple and not smart according to the brilliant political ideological minds of the day.
