4. News around Ohio. Reading about the despair over bathroom rules going into effect in Ohio caused me to take a stroll down memory lane. Back in the day, the three stooges in my class – Tommy, Eddie, and Chucky – were pulled out of class by the ear by Principal Sister Mary Lisa when she caught wind that they were removing ceiling tiles in the boys’ restroom and since the plumbing for the toilets in the girls’ restroom was in the same wall as the toilets in boys’ restroom, the three knuckleheads could gently scoot a ceiling tile over the girls’ toilets to get a look-see. Their mission would be so much easier in this day and age – claim to be a girl and just mosey on in – and the absolute prize would be the ability to cancel any girl who complains about your peeking through the cracks fetish by calling her a transphobe on social media or reporting her to school staff. Boys will be boys. In high school, the girls were really obsessed with sneaking around to catch a cigarette break and the Gestapo – teaching staff – had to police the girls’ bathrooms to break-up chain smoking gangs. Fast forward to today and we have had problems with girls being sexually assaulted by boys in girls’ restrooms at school. Loudoun County Virginia comes to mind – the father of a young girl who was sexually assaulted was arrested at a school board meeting when he tried to voice his concern. The young man involved in this incident was moved to another school where he assaulted a second female. Instead of pushing fear propaganda, maybe it is time for the MSM, advocacy groups, and parents of gender confused students to embrace and work with their options – 1. use the restroom that aligns with birth sex – i.e. the winkie, no winkie rule, 2. use a single occupancy restroom, 3. use the staff designated restrooms.
