2. A Franklin County judge has put a hold on a 2021 Ohio law that requires abortion providers to have a 24 hour waiting period after consultation before proceeding with an abortion. Five Ohio abortion clinics have filed suit regarding the constitutionality of the law because of passage of the Reproductive Rights Amendment last November. Planned Parenthood is gearing up to start deploying mobile clinics across the state to provide chemical (pill) abortions immediately on demand. Now more than ever, we need to provide hope and resources to women who become pregnant. 3. H.B. 445 – Religious Release Time. In the State of Ohio, parents and students are allowed to request time during the school day to be released for religious instruction. The instruction does not occur on school grounds nor do schools provide any financial or teaching assistance for the program. Unfortunately, several school districts in Ohio will not release students. H.B. 445 is changing the word “may” in the current statute to “shall” which will require schools to release the students. If you want more information on how this program works, I have included a link to Lifewise Academy below. H.B. 445 has had two hearings in the Ohio House of Representatives Primary and Secondary Education Committee. The bill needs one more hearing in this committee before a vote will be taken to pass it on for a full house vote. As this is an election year, there are 4 more months to get this bill passed before a new assembly is seated in January and the process will have to start from scratch. 1. I have a question. Why has V.P. Kamala Harris not been promoted to the role of 47th U.S. President? It is now a well known fact that President Joseph R. Biden is not capable of performing his job. How can anyone believe anything Harris is saying about her ability to perform the job of POTUS if she is not performing her job as the U.S. Vice President – stepping up to the plate and assuming the role of Commander in Chief because the current occupant of the Oval Office is mentally incompetent. Could it be that the Marxist Party has put politics over governance? Could it be that the Party of Death realizes that V.P. Harris in a role of higher visibility and prominence is more likely than not to screw the pooch in the next three months requiring the Party and their enablers to have to lie more and cheat even more in the upcoming election? Right now, anything bad that happens domestically or internationally will be blamed on Demented Joe if blaming Trump doesn’t cover the bill. Pray for our nation and leaders.

The Weirdness of Manufactured Joy

Today is a somber day for those of us who have been labeled “weird” by our Marxist peers. The Democratic Party Spectacle in Chicago this week has been a sad reminder of the “Hope and Change” cultural shift that has occurred in this country.

1. Pray for the babies whose lives were “proudly” taken by Planned Parenthood at the convention this week. These small human beings are more than a clump of cells; they are God’s children.

2. Pray for the mothers who choose to abort their children. Pray that God softens their hearts and brings them to acceptance of the Word.

3. Pray for every Christian who attended the Democratic National Convention that God will help them to come back to the Truth.

4. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1: 1-2 (ESV).

Today’s message is going to be some Poop Truth. Topic: Ohio Issue 1 – Establish the Citizens Redistricting Commission Initiative 2024. This initiative has been brought forward by a group called Citizens Not Politicians (CNP) to address gerrymandering in the State of Ohio. In the United States, our current form of government is a representative constitutional republic. Citizens ELECT representatives to be their voice and perform the duties of government. Currently in Ohio, the statehouse is supermajority Republican – governor, secretary of state, attorney general, auditor, house of representatives (99 total – 67 Republicans, 32 Democrats) and senate (33 total – 26 Republicans, 7 Democrats). In 2015, voters passed an amendment initiative that established the Ohio Redistricting Commission (ORC). The commission has 7 members as follows: 1. the state governor, 2. the state auditor, 3. the secretary of state, 4. one individual appointed by the senate president, 5. one individual appointed by the speaker of the house, 6. one individual appointed by the senate minority leader and 7. one member appointed by the house minority leader. The appointees are all selected from the state legislature. The current ORC has 5 Republican and 2 Democrat members. The U.S. census is done every 10 years and is used as the source for drawing the Ohio district maps. The amendment proposed by CNP would establish a commission of 15 members – 5 Republicans, 5 Democrats and 5 Independents/other party members – who would be chosen by a screening panel of four retired judges – 2 Republicans, 2 Democrats. Of note with this new process, none of the participants are elected by the people. With the current process, all 7 members of the ORC are elected by the people. When I looked at who is endorsing the amendment proposed by CNP, what jumped off my computer screen was the overwhelming Leftist support – ACLU, Planned Parenthood and a plethora of labor unions including the American Federation of Teachers. Since I wasn’t born yesterday, or even the day before, I see what is going on here. Ohio is VERY red right now. This amendment is a hoodwink to dupe the majority of voters; who are busy with their lives and do not have a lot of time to dig deeply into the issue, with deceptive, circle time/Kumbaya, democratic sounding language – Citizens Not Politicians. CNP gets an A+++++ for marketing skills. This ballot initiative is a sneaky way for the Democrat Party and their big money backers to garner more input into the process of determining voting districts than they were given by the democratic voting process. I do have to give Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose this website’s highest honor – the Golden Milk-Bone Award. The Ohio Ballot Board, of which LaRose is a member, approved 3-2 (3 Republicans, 2 Democrats) the following ballot language, “Issue 1 – To create an appointed redistricting commission not elected by or subject to removal by the people…..” The proceeding statement is 100% truthful and accurate and infuriated the backers of the amendment, so Ohio Issue 1 2024 ballot language is now making its way through the court system.
