Articles for today highlight a Sci-Fi Thriller: Covid Stupid. My favorite article is from Fox News concerning the decreased rates of Influenza and Covid vaccinations in healthcare workers this year. Dr. Marc Siegel who is a medical contributor on Fox said “Non-compliance is due largely to fear and politicization of misunderstanding of vaccines.” I laughed so hard when I read this that I had to lean portside to cut a starboard one cheek sneak. Duh…… even the CDC has admitted that the Covid vaccine does not prevent one from contracting nor spreading Covid. Never fear, the CDC is here and will be working diligently to come up with evidence based (run whenever you see medical professionals or institutions pulling this term from between their gluteus maximi) strategies to con medical personnel into receiving the vaccines. The Covid vaccine does NOT provide immunity. Does the vaccine provide the protection that Dr. Siegel implies concerning hospitalization and death? I don’t know, but neither the CDC nor the pharmaceutical industry have convinced me the risk/benefit ratio of receiving the vaccine is in my favor.
