Dingleberry Of The Week 9/16/2023

The Dingleberry Award this week is given to Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), for her appearance on a recent podcast “suggesting the majority of Americans are not outraged about the state of public schools, but there are merely a small group of extremists who are relying on or exacerbating the anxiety that people had post-Covid.” Ms. Weingarten is a Cornell University graduate and proud Ivy League tool. She holds a law degree and true to form obfuscates and lies like a rug. Teachers’ unions exist for the sole purpose of negotiating employment contracts and thus represent only the teachers in the teacher, parent and student partnership. The mission creep of the AFT and NEA (National Education Association) into defining and dictating school curriculum and culture is grotesque. Bravo to all the fed up parents showing up at school board meetings. School board members are public officials elected by parents to represent their interests in the collaborative. Accusing parents of being racist, homophobic and transphobic when they are not buying the bulltwinkie is not cutting the mustard anymore. I guess this is why parents are being targeted by the 4th estate at the behest of players like Ms. Weingarten.

Randi Weingarten denies comparing ‘parental rights’ advocates to segregationists during podcast interview

Teachers union honcho Randi Weingarten likens parental rights, school choice supporters to segregationists

Just a reminder: If you vote for stupid, then expect stupid in abundance. Do NOT vote for Marxists (i.e. a Democrat) to be your representative on a school board. Although school board races are supposedly non-partisan, they are very partisan. Look at who is endorsing a candidate on the candidate’s website. Also, go to the Delaware County Ohio Election Board – under the How to Get Involved Section on the right hand side of this website – and on the left hand side of the Election Board website you will see a heading for Voter Search. Put the name of the candidate in and you should be able to find the political party of which they are a member. Also, if you have two seats open this cycle and three people are running and two are Democrats and one is a Republican, only vote for the Republican.
