John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. John the Baptist embraced, accepted and testified to Jesus as being the Son of God. Pray to the Lord to give us the grace to see, embrace, accept and testify to Jesus’ public ministry. May His working in our lives begin anew, transforming us and leading us to the freedom won by His Paschal Sacrifice.

This situation is an example of a deep divide within the Christian community. The protestors have decided to put their faith in the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) which has labeled CCV a “hate group.” Many decades ago, the SPLC did some good bringing accountability to the Ku Klux Klan. Unfortunately, the SPLC has strayed far from its original mission and now proselytizes and fund raises off the very thing the SPLC claims to abhor – HATE.

On January 8, 2026, the U.S. House of Representatives in a 230 (Democrats + 17 Republicans) – 196 (Republicans) vote, passed a bill extending Obunglercare subsidies for three years. Missing from the bill were Hyde Amendment protections – NO public/taxpayer funding of abortions. The bill has now moved on to the U.S. Senate. I have included a link below to the Center for Christian Virtue which makes it easy peasy to send an e-mail to both Senator Moreno and Senator Husted stating your stance on Hyde protections. All life is precious, including the lives of preborns. No American should be forced to have their hard-earned tax dollars support the killing of the most innocent among us.

3. Judicial Roundup. Tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/13/2026, the Supreme Court will begin to hear the case of West Virginia v. B.P.J. BPJ is a biological male who gender identifies as female. In 2021, W.V. enacted the Save Women’s Sports Act (SWSA). BPJ had been competing in girls’ cross-country and track. BPJ’s mother, acting on BPJ’s behalf, sued the W.V. Board of Education and other state and county education entities. The Southern District of W.V. Court upheld the SWSA. On appeal in the 4th Circuit, the SWSA was struck down as unconstitutional. The State of West Virginia appealed the court finding to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court granted the petition on 7/3/2025. Oral arguments begin tomorrow. We have a similar law in Ohio regarding women’s sports, so this is an important Supreme Court case. Tomorrow’s Supreme Court case also includes Little v. Hecox which involves the State of Idaho and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

1. Keep in your prayers the City of Minneapolis, MN and the family and friends of Renee Nicole Good who was the 37-year-old woman shot and killed yesterday. Pray also for the federal agent who ended the young woman’s life. This is a very sorrowful situation. Ms. Good was not “peacefully protesting.” She had her Honda Pilot sitting in the middle of a roadway blocking oncoming traffic. ICE officers instructed her to get out of her vehicle and she decided to put the vehicle in motion. I cannot help but think that the Democrats of Minnesota are actually happy that they finally have their martyr and issue that will take eyes off the tremendous amount of theft and misappropriation of taxpayer funds that is being uncovered in Minnesota. Now that Governor Walz has dropped out of the Minnesota Governor’s race, he can devote his time to fighting his perceived enemies and “disappearing” all traces of any misdeeds. Both Democrat Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Democrat Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey fanned the flames of the Leftist 2026 Winter of Discontent among their devoted groupies yesterday. Most astounding was Governor Walz stating that he is putting the Minnesota National Guard (MNG) on notice. What was unclear from Walz’s statement was whether he was placing the MNG on notice to quell potential rioting or to obstruct federal agents who are enforcing existing federal immigration laws. Wickedness and skullduggery truly abound.
