1. Ohio Republican Primary 5/5/2026 News. Heather Hill, a candidate in the Republican Gubernatorial Primary, has been disqualified from the race because her running mate for Lieutenant Governor, Stuart Moats, withdrew his candidacy last week. Any votes cast for Hill will not be counted in the official tally. The remaining candidates are Vivek Ramaswamy/Robert A. McColley and Casey Putsch/Kimberly C. Georgeton. Melanie Leneghan has been deemed ineligible to run for Member of State Central Committee, Woman, District 19. Mrs. Leneghan was deemed ineligible after a complaint was filed with the Delaware County Board of Elections regarding her Ohio residency status. Mrs. Leneghan has filed a writ of mandamus with the Ohio Supreme Court regarding the issue.

2. The Democratic Party has lost its way. Just last week, U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, during a press conference regarding the gerrymander issue, said in response to a question, “We are in an era of maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time.” In addition, last week, 250 journalists signed a letter to the White House Correspondents’ Association urging the organization to use the White House Correspondents’ Dinner to “forcefully demonstrate opposition to President Trump’s efforts to trample freedom of the press.” Unfortunately, an individual crashed the dinner armed with a long rifle, handgun, and knives in an assassination attempt. White Supremacy is not the nation’s greatest threat – the Democratic Party’s rhetoric, which is stoking the coals of hate and violence, is our Nation’s gravest threat.
